1.What price would you like to buy your second hand textbook?
(The books are currently sold at 70% of the new price so would you prefer Eg.70%,60%,50% of the new price)
2.What commission for selling your book seems fair to you?
(The books sold currently attract a 30% commission to cover business costs of the shop and staffing, would you prefer to keep it at 30% or set slightly lower at 25%, or 20%?)

I think it is really unfair to charge as much as 30% of the selling price from students. Students are short on money. There should be way to swap books the two semesters the books are valid free of charge, and that should not be exploited by others to make a profit! It is more than enough with high retailer price second each semester when we have to purchase the new editions.
Christine Thank you for your feedback. The shop is a not-for -profit department and thus far has never made any profit. We have to pay business costs and staffing which includes providing employment for students. The shop runs at a loss but is seen as an important service to students. If we can get extra funding from the University we may be able to review and lower the commission rate. Last year we raised the resell rate from 66% to 70% to benefit students.I will pass on your comments to the Student Association President regarding a swop meet.Alternatively,it would be helpful to know what you would consider fair as a commission ?
