The UTS Second Hand Bookshop is the Student Associations' bookshop. It is a Not-for-Profit department. It aims to facilitate the buying and selling of books by students for students. It has existed on campus for 20 years. When text books cost so much money, having a 2nd hand service saves hundreds of students each semester. Students can buy and sell their books at up to two thirds of the retail price.

COMMISSION RATE CHANGE
COMMISSION RATE CHANGE its now 20% (of sell price) for the SA BOOKSHOP
The seller/owner of the book gets 80% of sell price.
Our commission rate has changed to cover the running costs of the shop and staffing.
Automatic notices sent earlier were incorrect. Use the latest email as the correct reference.
This is the first commission rate increase since the bookshop opened. The last two years we have had a deficit in funds to run the shop and would not be able to continue to keep the shop open and provide this service to students without the commission increase. We have never made a profit nor intend to, as this shop is registered as a not-for-profit enterprise,
but we do need to break even to continue the service as we have no outside funding.
Our website has been changed and also the blog to notify students of this change.
We thank you for your indulgence during transitional time.
