DATABASE design 2nd or 3rd editions OK to resell

SUBJECTS 31061, 31271 and 32606. The prescribed book for this subject is:
Database Design, Application Development, And Administration by Michael V. Mannino. McGraw Hill / Ediyu.
The 2nd or 3rd edition is ok to use and the secondhand bookshop will accept these book editions to sell to other students.

The latest edition is the 4th, published by Ediyu... but this will be extremely expensive if bought locally, so IT faculty have not ordered many as they anticipate that students will prefer to buy it online or second-hand.

The way that IT have set up the subject means that students can still make comprehensive use of the 2nd or 3rd edition, and and thus will be more likely to buy them second-hand.

Julia Prior Subject coordinator confirmed this information: June 04,2010.

SO DO IT NOW! ...register your 2nd and 3rd edition Database design books to sell, then bring them into the bookshop to put on the shelf for sale. MAXIMUM RESELL PRICE $50.00

SECOND HAND PRICES AND OUR COMMISSION

The book is sold as per your email contract at that price to the customer. ( Maximum resell of books is 70% of the new book price.) The book shop receives 30% commission on sales whilst you receive 70% of the second-hand price. This is the condition you agree to online for sale in our shop.

Most other second hand bookshops only offer $10 per book so we believe our policy is fair to you whilst enabling the shop to stay open as a service. The shop makes a loss each year- we still do not cover our business costs even now.
